Machine Control Field Technician

SITECH Chesapeake, part of the Alban CAT family and authorized dealer for Trimble Heavy & Civil Construction products and services, is currently accepting applications for a Machine Control Field Technician.
The Machine Control Field Technician is responsible for installing machine guidance systems on various types of earthmoving and paving equipment in the field and customer's facilities. Fulfill service repair obligations in a timely manner through execution of service processes and procedures. Installation of system wiring harnesses and related sensors. Understand and follow guidelines and requirements for supporting and servicing product. Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs. Configure machine guidance onboard software. Perform systems updates and other software related tasks. Perform various other duties as assigned.
Minimum of three years' experience in a Heavy Construction Equipment environment. Minimum of three years' experience in troubleshooting of electronic/mechanical devices. Experience with machine guidance and control systems preferred. Thorough knowledge of construction job sites, surveying, or heavy equipment operation preferred. Thorough knowledge of heavy equipment and hydraulic systems. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine control products. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
